Bucharest – Romania

The legend says that the Rumanian capital was founded by a called shepherd Bucur, whose name is recognizable in the Rumanian version of the name Bucharesti.  Bucharest is located to half road between the Carpathian and the Black Sea, in the southeast of Rumania.  Bucharest has not earned the nickname The Paris of the Balkans by coincidence.  Bucharest has an amazing range of architecture, from balconies made of wood and mansions with towers and bell towers to chapels of Byzantine Style, neoclassical buildings, and some with the style of the modernism of the years 1930 and still the absurdities poststalinistas of the state megalomaniac of Ceaucescu.  All these incredible architectures of Bucharest cannot do less than leaving the visitor amazed by the varieties of styles and historic events that have occurred the city of Bucharest during so many centuries.

The Rumanian capital has many interesting museums as the Museum of the Rumanian Peasant that granted the prize to “the European Museum of the Year” in 1994, the Museum of History of Bucharest, the Museum of National History of Rumania, the Museum of art of Rumania (situated in the old royal palace) and the National Museum Cotroceni inside the Palace Cotroceni.

Bucharest now boasts to have fashionable bars and clubs nocturnal, some writing with capital letter on the history of Vlad the Impaler, the most infamous son of Bucharest, with spider webs and subterranean dance rooms.  Beyond Bucharest  we can find the palaces of Mogosoaia, Buftea and Heresti and old buildings and monasteries in Snagov, Cernica, Pasarea, Caldarusani and Tiganesti.

The Coast of the Black Sea – Romania

The Coast of the Black Sea:  This line of the coast of the black Sea is the main tourist area of Rumania and it is ideal to spend holidays with your family.  The 70km (43 miles) of beaches of the Coast of the Black Sea have white sandy and fine sands and there are many resorts.  The main resorts that we can visit in the coast of the black sea are Costinesti, Eforie Nord, Eforie South, the Jupiter, Mamaia, Mangalia, Navodari, Neptun, Olimp, the Saturn, Techirghiol, the Venus and Aurora.  There is centers of boating for aquatic sports on the sea and in the lakes, can be taken boat trips  during the day.

The curative properties of the salt water and the mud of the Lake Techirghiol  have a temperature during all the year of 24° C/75°F they are without doubt an irresistible attraction in the Thing of the Black Sea.  The port Greek/Byzantine of Constanta, based on the sixth century B.C, deserves a visit, in its interior there are places of archaeological interest including the ruins of the old  Greeks cities of Histria, Tomis and Callatis.  The area is inhabited for foxes, otters, wildcats and boards and in the migratory periods you can visit 300 species of birds.

The Delta of Danube – Romania

The Delta of Danube was catalogued by the UNESCO as a Place of world patrimony of the humanity, this enormous extension protected of the north watery wasteland of the coast of Rumanian Black Sea covers three main arms of the Danube river with numerous small waterways, swamps, the small forests and rich fauna.  The pools can be explored from a fishing ship  or the floating hotel, and there are various hotels and camps that welcome visitors.  The main city of the Delta is Tulcea with its excellent Danube Delta Museum

Transylvania – Romania

Since the Roman times, are famous the Rumanian spas by its powers of miraculous healing.  Transylvania has many beah resorts which are well equipped, like  Felix, Herculane, Covasna and Sovata, many of which has installations that offer the acupuncture and  slimming Technics.  It is here where the myth of Dracula was originated and was immortalized in the famous novel of Bram Stoker.

The original Dracula was a medieval King known as ‘Vlad the Impaler ‘, due to his unpleasant habits.  One of the original dwellings of Vlad is the Castle of Saved; summoned to court in a dominant position, with its gross walls reaching its maximum point in the tower, from where it offers dramatics view and a glacial atmosphere.  There is travel available to the Castle of Saved leaving since the resort of mountain of Poiana Brasov, where is possible also to ski in the winter and to practice mountaineering and trekking in the summer.  From Transylvania is possible to travel to Sibiu that has a great market.  Also it is known Transylvania by its numerous churches fortified sajones, including the Church Biertan, that is on the top of a hill that passes for high the town of Biertan and is a Place catalogued as world patrimony of the humanity by the UNESCO.

Bukovina – Romania

Bukovina is an area in the north hills Carpathian that has unique churches and monasteries with exceptional 500 years old fresh. Sucevita is the house of a monastery with the largest number of fresh in the region.  29km (18 miles) to the west of Sucevita is Moldovita, renowned place by its spectacular paintings. The Moldavian region has 48 monasteries in total, almost all of them were built to celebrate victories on the Turks in the centuries 14th  and 15th. There is also numerous old churches, notable by its exterior walls painted and decorated with Byzantines fresh of the fifteenth century and XVI.  Seven of them now are included in the list of world patrimony of the UNESCO.

The Carpathian – Romania

This beautiful mountainous area and densely wooded is ideal to practice many sports as the skiing, cavalcades and tennis. It is situated in picturesque valleys and on slopes of mountain has many health centers and open ski slopes all the year long and well equipped with installations to rent ski equipment.  The main resorts are:  Borsa, Busteni, Durau, Paltinis, Poiana Brasov and the Pretrato.  Are also famous the centers of ski of Semenic and Sinaia because they include ski slopes .  All these centers of ski are equipped to provide food for a station of winter sports that is opened from December to April.  There are lakes of spectacular beauty as for example the lake Fagaras and the lake Retezat. Also are attractions in Romania the caves of Apuseni, Bihor and Mehedinti. The Monastery Hurezi, in the county Vâlcea, has been catalogued for the UNESCO as a place of world patrimony.
